Swim With Me

The final farewell was held at a KTV ( no this one, you have to bring your own hostess) but with such good company who needs hostess but it did reminds me of my days as a papasan.. but this time round the ladies are prettier. This is my first time( every one will also  have their first time keke) singing in KTV enviroment.Must be the pretty hostess( er I mean ladies) that inspire me to sing. Few songs down the road the manager came in with a bottle of complimentary wine on condition that I stop singing.. well there goes my career as a singer..  The ladies took over.. It was an eye opener as I realised that there was many hidden singing talent in them I really really enjoy this precious moment.. my only  regret was to leave earlier due to a prior appointment. This will remain a memorable chapter of my life in years to come….

A nice, helpful, intelligent,diligent ( ok  ok, enough about me) come in the form of a sweet (oops) young lady.A person who needs no introduction ( famous in singapore and JB (dangerous place.. do not go  to petrol kiosk)the one and only S ( not Superman). I will not forget your patience in teaching me all the IT thingy (even at times repairing my corrupted files, it is going to be  hard to find another corrupted person in future )I will remember,be grateful  and thankful to you for creating this blog. Where ever you are, what ever you do ( no this are not intro line from candid camera) MY BLESSING AND WISHES TO YOU.. If ever you need my help ,any time, any where, any place, any thing or whatever .. Just call me up ( like Mcdonald we are open 24hrs) but  there will be a surcharge after midnight… I WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!

S was organising aBBQ so she send out the food and store list to me. ( I recalled she just join our dept)

So I called her up.

Me: Hey S, error in your store list.

S: What’s the error!

Me: The tongs used for holding the  hot charcoal have  spelling mistake.

S: Is it?

Me: Should spell THONGS..

S: Ok noted.

So she send out a mail to everyone it goes:

Dear All, Error in BBQ store list on item D. Should be thongs that will be used to hold the hot charcoal.

Well  that night  every one was happily using their  thongs for the BBQ.

luckily they wore extra pair of shorts.

Mind over matter, never  give up and the famous “just do it”.The key words we used on the students ( adullt or the young ones). But of course easier say then done. So as a coach we will always look from the student point of view. We demonstrate, explain, let the student try with support from us and gradually without support. For example at the deep2m pool. Trying to sell them the idea that nothing will happen to them if they let go of the poolside is like trying to sell ice cream in Alaska. So we support by holding one hand and gradually release our hand counting 5 secs then support them again. Repeat till they are floating on their own

Our lecturer ( most topic are foreign to me )  was halfway thru her presentation when loud drilling sound from the outside the room  was heard.

Lecturer: Could we or any one in class tell them to stop work?

Me:  Okay, I go and tell them.

I step out of room and realised the workers are drilling one floor down.

Me to Worker: Exuse me, We are having exam right now, can you stop work for a while?

Worker: Very Sorry, We will stop work for half an hour.

Me: Thank You.

Went back to class.

Me to Lecturer: The worker allow us 15 mins.

Lecturer: Okay I will rush thru.

Today a very happy day, every one get to go home early… Will tell the worker to do the same when near going home time…

Whether Adults or Children doing swimming will have to overcome this stage. Cause by bad experience eg near drowning, push into water by friends even  during out sea canoeing and capsize. How to overcome? Well confidence drill like long bubbling under water, moving to deep end of pool(withsupervision) and try to float.. letting go of edge of pool and kick back to to edge (with supervision) .. will continue..

A girl drove to a petrol kiosk looking for the ladies but the door was lock. So went in the gents, saw a guy with dark glasses and a white cane seating outside the cubicle. Well since he cannot see, she took her clothes off and change into a fresh set.. she even purposely walk in front of the guy and zip up. Suddenly she heard a flushing sound from the cubicle. An old guy came out , the guy who was seating stood up , pass the cane to the old guy and guide him out .. he turn around and smile at the stunned lady..

 Moral of the story???

Well got into a 10 days sponsered course(lodging and three males  provided er I mean meals) also not  refering to Changi Prison. Try to get out of it since I was selected but seems that as in the show ( Star Wars).. my boss say you are the chosen one. But what is frustating is that he “flatter”  me by saying that the whole dept. I am the only one deserving to go for this course.. didn’t hear him say that when my pay rise is concern.So you may ask why the misery? You see this is the longest course that I ever attended in my life( not exaggarating) . Ask me to run, swim or jump from the tallest buliding (without parachute) I will do but 10 days of lecture room style course will definitely kill me. Even the lecture sucks. I feel like I am studying for my MBA( My Bad Attitude). Lucky  S star is still around to lend a sympathetic ear ( no I did not physically remove her ear) to all my grumbling. Well I always tell all my bosses or ex-bosses… if I can study I will be taking over their job.. who knows may be taking over the current one…….soon.keke

Well life goes thru cycles of good friends you make parting ways whether in school or working life. Liken to sending off someone away at airport. Our  group of four will soon left two..  G left. now S going .. Will remember the good times over coffee, work and sports.. even politics ke ke. Writing this dedication now as next week send oversea for 10days by company but will try to keep in touch thru video conference and be back last day for send off.   MY BEST WISHES!!

During my primary school days, I stay in a village in Changi area so I am  known as mountain tortise aka swa koo ( ask S if you dont know what is AKA.. nowadays she very clever with short form.. even invent them).One day caught a green beetle and brought it to school.. Attracted attention from 3 big bullies , they snatch it  from me and throw it away. Well I was a short and fat boy then. Well how to get back on them.. simple.. stand near where school principal arrival area and waited. Principal came.. act one scene one.. film roll..  I acted sad and weepy.. he ask and I complain.. act one scene two.. my form teacher came.. he ask I complain.. act one scene three.. 3 bullies got to report.. Teacher ask how I want to settle.. I say pay 20 cents.. they pay..  Make twenty cents that day.. (those days 5 cents can buy drinks..) Went back home starts looking for more beetles….  tomorrow is another day ….. will starting look for more bullies…
